There is a wonderful power in that space in time called pause.

 

Our world demands that we live in a perpetual state of doing, and so pausing often doesn't come easily. Our minds conflicted, our bodies tired; both yearning for that call to surrender to stillness. When we practice yoga the power of pause comes into its own. We begin to give permission for the demands of life to slip into the background as the gentle and soothing pauses of a yoga practice help to bring us home into our bodies and into the present moment.

We learn to accept ourselves in the pause of the moment, with a quality of curiosity and self-compassionate kindness. No expectations, no judgements, just embracing the playful opportunity to observe this moment suspended in time. An opportunity to re-connect with our bodies and to begin to find a sense of solace and safety within life's container.  As we begin to embrace the pause, there's a discovery of a subtle energy within and around, shining light on numerous possibilities. With that comes greater equilibrium. The bubbling overwhelm of the nervous system settles into a more regulated state. Resilience strengthens and a sense of empowerment blooms. There's a discovery of a greater empathy towards ourselves and towards others, and an unravelling to a quieter mind and a more deeply comforted heart.  

Yoga accepts and embraces all that you are, however you are. It will nurture you and bring change from the inside out. It only asks that you embrace it in return.
